Qualified Tradesperson

Tīra welds together the largest group of specialty steel fabrication companies in New Zealand, creating world-leading stainless steel and specialty alloy solutions.  We operate in a diverse range of industries that people need to live and work – including dairy and food, beverage, water, chemical, pharmaceutical, transport and energy.

 

We are looking for an experienced Qualified Tradesperson to join our team in Invercargill.  You’ll be reliable, motivated and enjoy working on a wide variety of projects. 

 

What will you be doing?

  • Fabrication and manufacture of stainless steel vessels, tanks and equipment
  • Workshop based with opportunities for site work
  • Working to quality standards and customer specifications
  • Completing health and safety training required for your role (eg. Heights, Confined Space etc)

 

Skills & Experience

  • A fabrication or welding trade qualification (preferable but not essential if you have demonstrated experience)
  • 3+ years experience in the engineering industry
  • Competent in TIG, MIG, Dual and Purge welding
  • Experience working with stainless steel (preferable but not essential)
  • Able to read and interpret drawings and plans
  • Excellent technical ability and attention to detail

  • Roles Available:           1
  • Employment Type:       Full-time, permanent role
  • Hours/Days of Work:    Minimum of 40 hours per week (Monday – Friday)
